About High Heels and Tutus
One of my favorite quotes is “you can never be overdressed or over educated” by -Oscar Wilde. I think this quote was written just for me. I find fashion to be something very personal, it’s a way of expressing who I am and what I feel. A way of telling the world who I am without ever having to say a word. I wear what speaks to me and what makes me feel confident. Over the last several years many friends and acquaintances have suggested and encouraged me to start a blog. I have always resisted. When we began this endeavor I didn’t even have a Facebook page, why would I want to blog? This fall I finally gave in and took the plunge…..and High heels and Tutus was born! This has been both an adventure and a challenge for me as I am normally a very reserved and shy person I can’t believe I’ve opened up and been able to show the world glimpses into my life and closet!Tutu has been dressing herself since she was 3, something I was devastated about happening at such an early age. Tutu certainly has her own sense of style and opinions about what she wants to wear which almost always includes a tutu and something pink! She styles herself for all of our posts and never accepts fashion advice from Mom. The old adage has certainly come true that the apple never falls far from the tree.Welcome to High heels, named for my passion and tutus for Tutu’s passion. This is our mother daughter adventure in fashion. Please visit us often and we welcome any thoughts and comments.
